6 Recipes That Will Put A Sparkle On Your 4th of July – Simple Mills

The Fourth of July is one of our favorite holidays here at Simple Mills. It’s right in the middle of summer, filled with family and friends, fireworks are enjoyed and our grills are turned on all day long. We know that many times, 4th of July parties don’t always have the healthiest options available which is why we’ve rounded up our own top 10 recipes for you. These recipes have shades of red, white and blue to add a bit of sparkle to any celebration you have

1. Blueberry, Strawberry & Jicama Salsa

Bust out our Fine Ground Sea Salt crackers onto a serving platter and then pair them with this festive and fruity dip. It can be made in under 10 minutes with just a mix of jicama, berries and cilantro!

2. Cake and Fruit Kabobs

Whether it’s for breakfast or dessert, these cake and fruit kabobs are perfect any time of the day. Make a few ahead of time, gather them in bouquets and place them in jars for your guests to grab & enjoy.

3. Hot Dog Buns

Did you know our Artisan Bread Mix can be made into grain-free hot dog buns? We like to use Applegate Farms’ Organic Beef Hot Dogs topped with all-natural ketchup and mustard. Don’t forget a pickle on the side! We promise your guests aren’t going to miss those store-bought buns.

4. Red White and Blue Trifle

We piled a glass high with coconut whipped cream, our vanilla cake mix and berries for a single-serve dessert that’s perfect for eating underneath a fireworks show! Click here to get the recipe.

5. Grilled Pizza

Mozzarella, pesto and arugula: a delicious, summery trio. Throw these pizzas from A Clean Bake on the grill alongside those burgers and hot dogs for a lighter vegetarian option.

6. Banana Split Cupcakes

Are you one of those people that turns every holiday into an extravagant event? Us too. That’s why we like to start (or end) or day with one of these banana split cupcakes. Of course we like sundaes for dessert but sundaes for breakfast... even better!
