Broccoli Tots with Horseradish Aioli

Yield: 15 tots


2 small heads of broccoli (4 cups)
1/2 cup mild cheddar cheese
2 eggs
1 cup + 2 tbsp Simple Mills Artisan Bread Mix
1/4 cup green onion
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp black pepper



1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp grated horseradish
1 tsp grated garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper



PREHEAT oven to 400ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

STEAM your broccoli in the microwave by adding it to a microwave safe bowl along with a tablespoon of water. Cover with a wet paper towel and microwave for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still crunchy. 

CHOP the broccoli into very small pieces. Add to a bowl along with the cheese, eggs, bread mix, green onion and spices. Mix to combine.

SCOOP out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it in your hands to form into an oval shape. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

REPEAT with the rest of the mixture and spray with cooking spray before baking for 15 minutes, flipping them and cooking for another 10 minutes.

PREPARE the aioli by mixing all the ingredients in a small bowl. Taste and adjust seasonings.

ENJOY broccoli tots along with the horseradish aioli.


NOTE: Coat your hands in olive oil before shaping into tots as the mixture will be rather sticky.
